Woodlands will be holding a fizztastic party with Let's Get Lathered! bath bombs and bath products. Take the opportunity to purchase some gifts for your loved ones or for yourself this Christmas.
Woodlands CC have recently been given the accolade of a renewal to ClubMark status.
This accreditation is required every 3 years, and entails presenting current evidence / documentation supporting relevant policies required by the ECB authorities.
This is a massive amount of work and has been carried out by Sue Brearley, with the help of Brian Pearson, Jeremy Bleazard and Stuart Tordoff.
Congratulations to all involved!
Clubmark is the universally acknowledged accreditation scheme for community sports Clubs, and allows parents and members peace of mind in the knowledge that we have the processes in place to provide a safe and child friendly environment for cricketers and members alike.
Clubmark evidences that Woodlands CC have achieved excellent standards of welfare, equity, coaching and management.
It also ensures that we provide the right environment to encourage all of our members to enjoy sport and be involved as long as possible.
The All Rounder Cricket Bradford Premier League has launched a drive to recruit new umpires for the 2020 season. Two training courses have been arranged and the league is appealing to former players and cricket followers to become match officials.
The league is offering to pay the course fees for all candidates who go on to become members of the umpiring panel throughout the 2020 season.

Double Delight for Woodlands Skipper
Cieran Garner won’t forget his first season as captain in a hurry after leading Woodlands to a Premier Division championship and Priestley Cup double.
His team secured their seventh league title with an 81-run win over Undercliffe at Intake Road – the ground where they lifted the cup three weeks earlier.
Opener Tim Jackson played the lead role while Brad Schmulian (33) and Sam Frankland (32) both chipped in with valuable runs as they posted a score of 223-6.
Derbyshire off spinner Mark Watt (3-81) was the most successful Undercliffe bowler and chipped in with 35 as his side were bowled out for 152. Opener Simon Lambert top scored with 55 but could not prevent Woodlands from securing their 13th win of the season.

Mick and Rob are running the York marathon on October 20th to raise funds in order to improve the disabled facilities at Woodlands. Woodlands CC, located at Albert Terrace off Cleckheaton Road Oakenshaw, play cricket in the Bradford Premier League. Fielding 4 junior teams and 2 senior teams rather successfully, doesn't tell the whole story. WCC is truly a part of the local community. The club hires out the sports hall all year round to many sports, but especially cricket and 5-a-side soccer. Up until quite recently, the club also doubled as a day care centre for the elderly. This has now evolved into a pre and after school facility, again, serving a very important requirement in Oakenshaw and the surrounding area.
