Congratulations to Ady Clee who won the highest award the club present at our presentation night on Saturday for his outstanding contributions over the past 18 months that have enhanced our facilities particularly for spectators.
Other winners on the night were Scott Richardson for his off the field contribution by a player, Michael Pearson for his contribution to junior cricket.
On the playing front Brad Schmulian swept the 1st team awards winning the batting, bowling and player of the year and Cieran Garner did a similar feat in the 2nd team.
Rob Medcalf won the best bowling figures award.

Congratulations to Brian Pearson as he was given the Sir Leonard Hutton award at the Gordon Rigg Bradford League dinner last night for his services to the League and of course Woodlands. The award is the highest and most prestigious award the League present. Brad Schmulian also picked up the allrounder of the the year and the player of the year awards.

Congratulations to Mick Brearley who has qualified to represent England in the England Athletics Age Group Masters having run the Yorkshire Marathon in 3hrs 25 mins, 15 minutes inside the qualifying time for Mick’s age group (60 to 65).

3 wkts for Chris Brice and Brad Schmulian restricted Appleby Frodingham to 150 for 9 off 50 over.
An unbeaten century for Brad (100) and 40 not out for Tim Jackson saw us knock off the runs for the loss of 1 wkt.
Brad was named man of the match to round off a great season as we lifted the Yorkshire Premier League Play Off Trophy to be crowned Champions of Yorkshire

Early start for our groundsman James as work started Sunday morning with the square being scarified as part of the renovation process

In the Yorkshire Premier League Playoff Semi Final, a century for Sam Frankland (101) Tim Jackson 76 and Muhammad Bilal 31 saw us post 284. Brad Schmulian & Chris Brice both took 3 wkts as we dismissed the visitors for 169, to book our place in the final on Sunday 18 September at Headingley.
The 2nd team lost to East Bierley, the hosts posting 162 with Nathan Bromby 5wkts & Kieran Rodger 3. In reply we were bowled out for 128 with Cieran Garner making 45.
7th September
Brad Schmulian has finished 2nd in the Premier League batting averages scoring 1,105 runs at an average of 61.39. Tim Jackson finished with 873 runs at 45.95 and Tom Clee scored 597 at 37.31.
Brad also finished 2nd in the bowling averages 60 wkts at 12.98. Muhammad Bilal got 37 wkts at 22.89
Greg Finn finished 5th in the keeping averages with 29 victims

In the Shield final, we batted first and posted 269 off our 40 overs with Kieron Collins 81 and Jack Bleazard 61 in the runs with Jak Murphy picking up 3 wkts.
Kieron Collins won the man of the match award for the 2nd year running

The 1st team chased down Ossett’s score of 201 for the loss of 5 wickets with Brad Schmulian scoring 109 not out and Liam Collins 31 with Brad taking 3 wkts earlier.
The 2nd team beat Gomersal. We posted 309 with Cieran Garner 99, Nick Rushworth 57 & Josh Griffin 50 not out the main contributors with Josh taking 4 wkts.
Today the 2nd team play Townville in the Priestley Shield final at Hartshead Moor. Game starts at 12.

Congratulations again to the 1st team for winning the league. They were presented with the trophy and crowned champions for the 9th time.

Congratulations to Brad & the 1st team on securing our 9th league title yesterday and making it back to back to back champions.
The 1st team chased down Pudsey St Lawrence’s score of 196 for the loss of 6 wkts with Tom Clee 64 not out and a rapid 54 from Muhammad Bilal securing the 19pts win after Brad Schmulian had picked up 4 wkts earlier.
The 2nd team also picked up 19pts. Jack Bleazard 66, kieran Collins 59, Rob Medcalf 56 & Kieran Rodger 33 were in the runs as we posted 262. Our hosts finished on 197 with 3 wkts each for Cieran Garner & Josh Griffin.

Congratulations to Brad and the team on winning the Gordon Rigg T20 Group A final yesterday.
We scored 171 off our 20 overs with Brad Schmulian 41 Tom Clee 30 and Elliot Richardson 24 topping the scoring.
Hanging Heaton finished 135 for 9 with Brad and Kez Ahmed both picking up 2 wkts.

Thursday night sees the re-arranged Gordon Rigg T20 final at Bradford & Bingley where we play Hanging Heaton.
21st August
2 fantastic run chases saw both sides win against New Farnley yesterday.
At the 1st team game the hosts scored 272 with Brad Schmulian taking 4 wkts. Unbeaten centuries for Tim Jackson 130 & Brad Schmulian 109 got us home for the loss of 1 wicket.
The 2nd team were set 260 and they too chased them down for the loss of 1 wicket with an unbeaten century for Kieran Collins 111, Cieran Garner 90 not out & Harry Medcalf 50 getting us home.
16th August

14th August
Both sides recorded wins against Bankfoot scoring 20 pts each.
The 1st scored 269 with Liam Collins 104 & Tim Jackson 49 in the runs. Our visitors were bowled out for 175 with 5 wkts for Brad Schmulian and 3 for Elliot Richardson.
The 2nd team restricted our hosts to 124 with Cieran Garner taking 4 wkts and Kieran Rodger picking up 3.
Cieran Garner’s 64 not out led us home for the loss of 2 wkts
8th August
The 2nd team are through the the Crowther Cup final after beating Farsley by 104 runs. Cieran Garner 83 not out, Rob Medcalf 44 and Josh Griffin 34 not out helped us post a total of 215. Ayan Zafar took 4 wkts as the hosts were bowled out for 111.
The final will take place at Sandal on Monday 29 August.
7th August
Yesterday saw both teams win and both pick up 20 pts.
The 1st team scored 331 for 8 with Brad Schmulian 130, Greg Finn 60 & Sam Frankland 58 in the runs. Brad took 4 wkts and Chris Brice 3 as the hosts were bowled out for 220.
The 2nd team restricted East Bierley to 143 with 4 wkts each for Nathan Bromby and Josh Griffin. Nick Rushworth 59 not out & Cieran Garner 46 led us home for the loss of 2 wkts.
Today the 2nd team are away at Farsley in the semi final of the Crowther Cup. Game starts at 1.

What a fantastic day yesterday.
Thank you to all those who helped, played or supported the event to make the day so successful as we celebrated the lives of David Jennifer & Phil.
Just like the people there, we are sure they would have had big smiles on their faces and filled with pride.

2 wins yesterday saw both side secure 18 pts.
The 1st post 195 with runs for Tim Jackson 43, Brad Schmulian 41 & Elliot Richardson 35. Batley were all out for 132 with Elliot picking up 4 wkts.
The 2nd team restricted the same opposition to 108 with Kieran Rodger taking 5 wkts and Cieran Garner picking up 3.
We knocked off the runs for the loss of 4 wkts.
Today sees our legends game as we join the families of David & Jennifer Wharf & Phil Godfrey as we celebrate their massive contribution to the club so come along and join us.

Unfortunately, due to illness, our evening with Sam Wilson on Saturday has to be postponed so get those flip flops ready as we are having a beach party instead!

Another day of mixed fortunes yesterday.
The 1st team secured 16 pts with a win over Cleckheaton on a very wet wicket. We were bowled out for 139 with Muhammad Bilal 35 & Elliot Richardson 33 our main run scorers. 5 wks for Chris Brice and 3 for Kez Ahmed secured the win.
The 2nd team lost to Jer Lane by 13 runs. The visitors posted 235 with Rob Medcalf claiming 7 wkts. In reply Nathan Bromby 68 & Nick Rushworth 53 almost got us home.
Today sees us take on Hanging Heaton in the final of this year’s t20 competition at Bradford & Bingley. Game starts at 3pm

The teams will be captained by Richie and Jason respectively in their memory.
We would love everyone to join in on the fun, the more the merrier to celebrate their lives and what they meant to us all at the club!

Mixed fortunes again yesterday
The 2nd team beat Jer Lane to progress to the final of the Priestley Shield. We restricted our visitors to 162 with 3 wkts for Nathan Bromby. Nick Rushworth 73 led the way to secure a 6 wicket win and we will now meet Townville in the final.
The 1st team were beaten in the Priestley Cup semi final by New Farnley. Our hosts batted first and scored 296 off their 50 overs with 3 wkts for Kez Ahmed. Despite 91 for Sam Frankland, Tim Jackson 35 and a quick34 for Muhammad Bilal we lost by 67 runs.

2 wins yesterday saw both sides secure 20 points.
The 1st team beat Farsley. We posted 334 with Brad Schmulian 123, Tim Jackson 70 & 52 from Muhammad Bilal. Liam Collins picked up 4 wkts as the visitors were bowled out for 214.
The 2nd team restricted Morley to 147 with Cieran Garner taking 4 wkts and Kieran Rodger 3 wkts.
Jack Bleazard 78 not out and Cieran Garner 58 not out led us home.
Today the 1st team are away at New Farnley in the Priestley Cup semi final and the 2nd team are at home to Jer Lane in the Priestley Shield semi final. Both games start at 1pm

We are through to the t20 final following a 58 run victory at New Farnley. Brad Schmulian 51 Tom Clee 30 & Kieran Collins 30 not out helped us post 161 off our 20 overs. 3 wkts for Brad as New Farnley were bowled out for 103.
11th July
We lost to Wallasey in the final over of our National Club Championship tie. Tom Clee 69, Liam Collins 35 and a brisk 29 for Muhammad Bilal helped us post 202 off our 40 overs with the hosts knocking off the runs with 1 ball to spare.
Its not too late to get some tickets for our summer raffle. Draw made on Saturday.

Another day of mixed fortunes for us yesterday.
The 1st team beat Hanging Heaton by 90 runs having posted a score of 343 thanks to centuries for Tom Clee 141 and Tim Jackson 110. Muhammad Bilal took 3 wkts as we secured the 20 points.
The 2nd team were second best to Hanging Heaton who won by 41 runs. Josh Griffin and Kieran Rodger both picked up 3 wickets as the visitors posted 201. Kieran Collins scored 50 as we were all out for 160.
Today the 1st team are in action again in the ECB National Club Championship away at Wallassey. Game starts at 1pm

Our Crowdfunder has gathered a bit of momentum over the last 4 or 5 days. We now have 90 qualifying supporters who have pledged an amazing £9,920. Thank you to all who have pledged so far. We still need your help though to reach our target so if you havent already pledged and you are able to do so please support us.

We secured our place in the Crowther Cup semi final with a 108 run win over Barnsley Woolley Miners yesterday. Nick Rushworth 129, Cieran Garner 51 & Rob Medcalf 30 led us to a score of 274. Our hosts were bowled out for 166 with 4 wkts for Jack Bleazard and 3 for Josh Griffin.
3rd July
2 wins yesterday saw us secure 18 & 19 points. The 1st team beat Bradford & Bingley by 51 runs with Sam Frankland 51 and Liam Collins 33 the main run scorers and Brad Schmulian picking up 7 wkts in the win. The 2nd team beat Pudsey Congs by 79 runs with Cieran Garner 127 & Jak Murphy 44 leading the way to our total of 251. Nathan Bromby took 6 wkts with Congs finishing 172 for 9. Today the 2nd team are away at Barnsley Woolley Miners in the Crowther Cup. Game starts at 1pm
